| Dynamos Upend Millers, 4-3 | The Minneapolis Millers were defeated, 4-3, by the Detroit Dynamos at Hennepin County Stadium, even though Pete Jones pitched well for Minneapolis. Detroit pitcher Johnny Hoskinson got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Pete Jones got the loss. The Millers drop to 5-5 and continue their mediocre start to the 1974 season.
Dave Black, who leads the FA in runs scored with 10, had a direct impact on the outcome. Black contributed a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put Detroit up, 4-0.
"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Black told the Detroit Herald.
