| Washington Listless in 8-1 Loss | The Los Angeles Suns beat the Washington Eagles at Wilshire Park. The final score was 8-1, in favor of Los Angeles. Eddie Kellum led the way, going 3-for-5 for the home team. So far in 1974, Los Angeles is 28-20.
With Los Angeles leading 2-1 in the bottom of the seventh, Kellum hit a 2-run single off Washington hurler Herman White. It was the 44th hit of the season for Kellum and put his team ahead, 4-1.
"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager Joe D'Aprile.
