Minutemen Get Past Houston for 5-4 Win
The Boston Minutemen topped the Houston Comets by a score of 5-4. Leading the way was left fielder Dick Ward. Ward went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Minutemen. The loss makes Houston 31-18.

In the bottom of the ninth, with one out and the game tied, 4-4, 24-year old third baseman Bill Robinson won it for Boston. With the bases loaded, Robinson hit a first pitch changeup from Joe Barnes for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 5-4 win.

"This house was rockin'," Ward said.
