Pioneers Win Another One, 13-4
The St. Louis Pioneers defeated the Pittsburgh Miners, 13-4, in part because of third baseman Cal Randall. Randall was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 3 times for the Pioneers. Billy Hasson picked up the win, improving his season record to 8-4. He struck out 7 in 8 innings. Pittsburgh's current losing streak is now 4 games.

The Pioneers benefited from a costly error in the top of the sixth. With Bill Bather at bat and St. Louis leading 4-2, the Pittsburgh miscue allowed St. Louis to plate 1 and take the lead, 5-2.
