The New York Imperials downed the Chicago Cougars, 4-3, at Dyckman Stadium. The Imperials were led by Rusty Robertson. Robertson was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. New York occupies second place in the Continental Association East at 25-22.

The decisive blow was delivered by Woody Richardson in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run double off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Tom Andress to win the game for New York. The home crowd went nuts.
