| Boone Guns Down Saints | Allie Boone kept the Montreal Saints hitters from doing much damage at Stade Montreal.
Montreal could only muster 3 hits and draw 2 walks against the right-handed Boone, who controlled them throughout the game. Kansas City won the contest, 5-0. Boone added 8 strikeouts in his complete-game effort.
"I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Boone told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time."
