5-Hit Blitz by Philadelphia's Dellinger | Players get multi-hit games all the time, but 5-hit games are something else entirely. Harry Dellinger walloped 5 hits in 5 at-bats for the Philadelphia Keystones in a career day at Broad Street Park II, but it was the Boston Minutemen who won the ballgame, 12-4.
"My swing was really, really there," Dellinger said afterward. "I made some good, solid contact and when that happens, good things happen. And hey, 5-for-5 and losing is better than 0-for-5 and losing, right?"
Harry Dellinger hit a solo-shot off Otey Stevens in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
For the year, Dellinger is batting .348 with 16 home runs. | |
