Minneapolis Millers starter Hank Wagner turned in a top-notch performance against the Boston Minutemen at Hennepin County Stadium. The result was a win for the Millers, 4-1. By defeating Boston, the 4th-place Millers improved to 25-25.

With Minneapolis leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Wagner hit a sinker from Bill Kelly for a 2-run double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Millers ahead, 3-0.

"Hank had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Minneapolis manager Bill Bryan.
