The Cleveland Foresters got a good effort from starter Adrian Czerwinski in defeating the Kansas City Kings at Prairie Park. The final score was 4-2. Czerwinski picked up the win for Cleveland, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 9-4. Lynn Horn picked up the save, his 12th.

Cleveland used the timely hitting of Gary Romeo to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Foresters on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Adrian was bobbing and weaving the whole game," said Cleveland manager Jim Whitehead.

The first-place Foresters bumped their record to 46-28.
