Smith Takes Chainsaw to Boston Bats in 4-1 Win
Minneapolis got a strong outing from Bill Smith as the Millers defeated the Boston Minutemen, 4-1, at Minuteman Stadium. The Millers, at 42-71, inhabit last place in the Federal Association.

The Minutemen had little chance against Smith, who overpowered Boston hitters and struck out 12.

"I was the aggressor," said Smith. "No doubt about it."
