St. Louis had no answer for Washington Eagles hurler Herman White, who overwhelmed Pioneers hitters as the Eagles coasted to victory, 7-1. After today's action, Washington sits at 19-28, while St. Louis falls to 23-27.
In the top of the second, Washington left fielder Joe Cantrell had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Cantrell stroked a 2-run single to right. It made the score 5-0, Washington. For the game, he was 2 for 5 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
