The Baltimore Clippers topped the Los Angeles Suns, 3-0, in Federal Association action at Patapsco Field. The standout performance belonged to Baltimore pitcher and Gary, Indiana, native Pat Fortier. In 7.2 innings, Fortier surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. Larry Warren earned his 3rd save, after closing out the game.

The Clippers prevailed in a game in which the pitchers had the upper hand.

"All in all, I thought Pat pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Baltimore manager Hank Luckenbaugh.
