Cummings Pops Two Homers in 12-3 Win for Minneapolis
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Minneapolis Millers and Los Angeles Suns.

The Minneapolis Millers handed the Los Angeles Suns a sound defeat, 12-3, at Wilshire Park. Cecil Cummings was a main contributor to the win. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice for Minneapolis. At 41-70, the Millers are currently last in the Federal Association.

With Minneapolis leading 5-0 in the top of the sixth, Cummings batted against Los Angeles pitcher Jerry Patton. Cummings hit a fastball to right for a grand slam home run. His 6th home run of the season put the Millers on top, 9-0.

"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Cummings told the Minneapolis Bulletin.
