Montreal Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The home squad pulled out a thrilling walk-off win.

The Montreal Saints had to overcome a fine effort from Kansas City pitcher Irv Hoops to win, 3-2, at Stade Montreal. Hoops went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. The Saints, at 21-27, inhabit 4th place in the Continental Association East.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Montreal first baseman Harry Swain, facing John Moss, had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. It gave the Saints the 3-2 win.

"We didn't let this one get away," said Swain.
