Casey Edwards propelled his team to victory over the Toronto Beavers. The final score was 5-2, Pittsburgh. The setback makes the Beavers 5-10.

An inflection point occurred with one out in the top of the fourth. That's when Mechanics left fielder Charlie Johnson hit a fastball from Dale Hovis for a 2-run single. Just like that, Pittsburgh was up, 2-1.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Edwards, "and then get after the next one."
