| In Extras, Wranglers Beat Foresters, 3-2 | The Dallas Wranglers, despite a fine performance by Cleveland pitcher Roy Rice, grabbed a 3-2 win in 13 innings at Norris Stadium. Rice allowed 2 runs over 7 innings. The win belonged to Jack Meeks in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Charlie Sawyer took the loss for Cleveland. The victory puts Dallas at 19-28.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the 13th, an error by the Foresters allowed the Wranglers to score the winning run.
"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Miller. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."
