| Cougars Net 2-0 Win | The Chicago Cougars got a good effort from starter Hal Adams in defeating the Kansas City Mavericks at Cougars Park. The final score was 2-0. The winning pitcher was Adams, now 5-2. He tossed 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 6. Earning his 1st save for Chicago was Bill Scott.
The Cougars got a big at-bat from second baseman Cleo Harris. For the game, Harris went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Chicago a 1-0 lead.
"Hal was able to execute his pitches," said Chicago manager Pug Bryan. "Simple as that."
At 21-28, the Cougars find themselves in 4th place in the Continental Association West.
