| Arrows Handle New York, Snag 4-3 Win | The Milwaukee Arrows picked up a win at Dyckman Stadium, downing the New York Imperials, 4-3. On the mound for Milwaukee was right-hander Norm Sutherland, who played a pivotal role in the win. Milwaukee goes to 29-18. The win puts them 2 games up in their division.
Milwaukee used a timely hit from Jim Stogner to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Arrows ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.
"It was a real good effort by Norm," said Milwaukee manager Randy Hendrix. "I loved the way he bore down."
