Suns Squeeze By Boston, 4-3
Boston got a decent performance from pitcher George Kollock, but it wasn't enough to beat the Los Angeles Suns. Los Angeles won the Minuteman Stadium contest, 4-3. Kollock threw 9.0 innings of 8-hit ball for the losing team. The Suns raised their record to 44-65.

Bill Bell came through with a big-time hit for Los Angeles. The second baseman smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"What we get, we earn," Bell told the Los Angeles Today.
