| Arrows Slip Past Stars, 6-2 | The Los Angeles Stars got a superb performance from pitcher Floyd Warner, but the Milwaukee Arrows still won the game, 6-2. Warner threw 6.0 innings of 2-hit ball. With the win, the Arrows have a record of 28-14.
Had Jay Dynes not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Dynes hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Arrows.
"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Milwaukee skipper Randy Hendrix. | |
