| Pioneers Handle Baltimore, Snag 6-0 Win | The St. Louis Pioneers downed the Baltimore Clippers, 6-0, at Pioneer Field III. Stellar pitching by Lloyd Henson had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 5th in the FA in wins with 5, handcuffed his opponent all game. St. Louis is now 21-26. Baltimore is 24-19.
The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the sixth inning, but Henson was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Baltimore trailing 2-0, Henson retired Harry Simmons, who struck out.
