| Cannons Hand New York 5-1 Loss | The Cincinnati Cannons ushered in the 1975 season with a win versus the New York Imperials at Tice Memorial Stadium II. The final score was 5-1. Starting Pitcher Herm Quinn, who finished 2nd in the CA in ERA with 2.59 last year, had a standout performance.
Cincinnati third baseman Bill Brown contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 4th hit of the season and put the Cannons ahead, 5-1.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Cincinnati manager Charlie Britton. | |
