| Eagles Paste 7-2 Loss on Millers | Washington parlayed a decent outing from starter Owen Lantz into a solid win over the Minneapolis Millers. The final score was 7-2. With the win, Washington upped its record to 59-48.
Washington used the timely hitting of Howdy Oakes to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Eagles on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I went out and just tried to do my job," said Lantz.
