| New York Sent Home with 5-4 Loss | The Milwaukee Arrows besoiled an otherwise fine performance by New York right fielder Phil Terry by beating the Imperials, 5-4, at Dyckman Stadium. Terry was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win elevated the Arrows to 28-18.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Rich Moyer? The 23-year old first baseman Moyer stroked a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put Milwaukee up, 5-3. For the game, he was 2 for 3, including 1 double and 1 single.
"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Moyer. | |
