Comets Rally to Win
The Houston Comets faced a tough opponent in Detroit pitcher Clarence Reimer, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Dalton Domed Stadium by a final score of 6-2. Reimer went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Houston reliever Joe Barnes was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Beau McClellan. The first-place Comets go to 30-14.

Houston got a clutch hit from Hank Andrew. The center fielder launched a grand slam home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"It's what good teams do, find a way to win," said Andrew.
