Imperials Sunk by Cannons
Cincinnati and New York duked it out and the Cannons came out victorious.

The Cincinnati Cannons defeated the New York Imperials, 6-4. Left Fielder Joe Case deserved a large share of the credit. Case went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Cannons. The Imperials, at 18-34, have lost 5 in a row.

Case had an important at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the top of the seventh, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Cannons went on to win.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Case told the Cincinnati Citizen.
