Los Angeles Decked by Brown, Eagles
Jimmy Brown left his imprint on the 9-1 Washington win against the Los Angeles Suns. Brown, who is tied for 10th in the FA in home runs with 17, went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Otto Caudill got the win, improving to 10-7. He held the Suns to 1 run on 6 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 1. The current losing streak for Los Angeles has reached 4 games.

Tom Lorang had a big run-scoring double for the Eagles in the bottom of the first inning. With Washington leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a sinker from 34-year old left-handed pitcher Dixie Gaines and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 22nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Eagles ahead, 2-0.

"I still think this team can play even better," Lorang told the Washington Observer.
