Millers Rally Late to Clip Detroit
The Minneapolis Millers did just enough to nip the Detroit Dynamos, 3-2, in 10 innings. Minneapolis pitcher Ike Hawley, in particular, had a standout performance. Minneapolis reliever Jimmy Jeter picked up the win. Beau McClellan, who finished 2nd in the CA in innings pitched with 289.0 in 1959, took the loss for Detroit. With the win, Minneapolis is 5-4.

The Millers got a clutch hit from right fielder John Edwards. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Millers.

"Our team showed some spunk," said Edwards.
