| Clippers Lose to Pioneers in Walk-Off | The St. Louis Pioneers beat the Baltimore Clippers, 7-6, in 13 innings, in part because of first baseman John Richards. He went 5-7 with a home run and 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Milo Kennedy notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. His record now sits at 3-0. The St. Louis winning streak has reached 4 games.
The Pioneers got a clutch hit from left fielder Cliff Coleman. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Pioneers.
"This place was rockin'," said Coleman. | |
