Hunter Shines in 9-6 Atlanta Win
Jay Hunter knocked in 5 runs to help Atlanta beat Boston, 9-6. The center fielder collected 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. The second-place Minutemen have lost 4 consecutive games.

With Atlanta leading 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth, Hunter hit a fastball from Richie Thornton for a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Copperheads ahead, 7-2.

"We came out aggressive," said Copperheads manager Don Fox. "We came out swinging the bats."
