| Foresters Get Past New York for 3-2 Win | The Cleveland Foresters picked up a win at Forester Stadium, dropping the New York Imperials, 3-2. Juan Solorzano, who finished 3rd in the FA in wins with 16 in 1968, was the difference-maker. Cleveland reliever Bob V James picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Jim White was saddled with the loss. Cleveland, at 17-22, occupies 5th place in the Continental Association East.
Athan Metrofanis chipped in for Cleveland, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning. For the game, the first baseman was 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
