The Chicago Cougars scored a tight, 4-3 win versus the Milwaukee Arrows at Cougars Park. Chicago pitcher Hal Adams held his own in the contest. Tom Andress got the save, the 7th for him this season. The win for the Cougars lifted their record to 22-22.

In the bottom of the fourth, Chicago right fielder Andy Babel had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and two out, Babel stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 4-3, Chicago. For the game, he went 1-4. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"Hal pitched his heart out," said Chicago manager Pug Bryan.
