| New York Hot Streak Continues with 3-1 Win | Charlie Sawyer pitched well, but his team, the Cleveland Foresters, still dropped a 3-1 decision to the New York Imperials at Forester Stadium. New York starter Howie Weston was credited with the win after throwing 96 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 3-1. New York took control in the top of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Phil Terry hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Imperials.
