| Suns Snag 6-2 Win | Los Angeles starter Jim Place pitched well against the Minneapolis Millers at Wilshire Park. The left-hander led his team to a win, 6-2. The win for the Suns raised their record to 25-15.
Los Angeles took a 6-2 lead on Bill Calvin's 7th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which Calvin hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Minneapolis pitcher Ben Baird visibly frustrated.
"They had a good approach," Minneapolis skipper Harry Hammond said of the opposition. "Hats off to them."
