The Baltimore Clippers picked up a win at Patapsco Field, taking down the Washington Eagles, 2-0. Starting pitcher Johnny Hugot was a big reason why. Earning his 1st save for Baltimore was Sonny Stoyer. The win lifted the Baltimore record to 21-20.

Washington had a runner on 1st in the top of the eighth. With one out, Howdy Oakes came to bat, hoping to do some damage. Instead, he popped out. The score remained 2-0, Baltimore. The Eagles saw their comeback bid fail.
