New York Imperials starter Ed Wells pitched his team past the Cleveland Foresters in 10 innings, 4-2. New York pitcher Ed Cooper got the win, upping his record to 3-3. Ted Thierry got the loss. New York's winning streak has reached 6 games.

Bill Wood came through with a big-time hit for New York. The pinch hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 4-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said New York manager Jim Abernathy.
