Mechanics Beat Toronto, 3-2
The Pittsburgh Mechanics did just enough to sneak past the Toronto Beavers, 3-2, at Maumee Park II. Pittsburgh pitcher Leroy Budimir, in particular, had a standout performance. Pittsburgh reliever Leo Hills snagged the win, upping his record to 2-0. Stu Witt shouldered the loss. The loss makes the Beavers 5-9.

Pittsburgh used the timely hitting of Dave Kingsley to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Mechanics on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Kingsley told reporters after the game: "End of the day, the letter 'W' is what's important."
