| Foresters Topple Arrows, 8-3, as Jaramillo Shines | Spirited fans greeted the Milwaukee Arrows for their clash with the Cleveland Foresters.
The Cleveland Foresters powered past the Milwaukee Arrows, 8-3, at Lakefront Park. Carlos Jaramillo provided some of the pop. El Guante went 4-5 with 3 doubles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Dick Couture picked up the win, improving his season record to 3-1. He struck out 4 in 6 innings.
With Cleveland leading 2-0 in the top of the first, Jaramillo came up to bat against Milwaukee pitcher Joe Wright. Jaramillo hit a fastball to right for a 2-run double. His 7th double of the season put the Foresters on top, 4-0.
"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Jaramillo told the Cleveland Observer. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
Cleveland, at 16-20, holds down 5th place in the Continental Association East. | |
