| Minneapolis Wins, 6-2, in Extra Innings | The Minneapolis Millers and Detroit Dynamos put on quite a show.
The Minneapolis Millers racked up a win at Thompson Field, bumping off the Detroit Dynamos, 6-2, in 10 innings. Hank Wagner, who started for Minneapolis, pitched effectively for his team. The win went to Ben Baird in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Bill Boschen took the loss.
George Fisher came through with a big-time hit for Minneapolis. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Hank executed his pitches at a high level," said Minneapolis manager Harry Hammond.
The 4th-place Millers improved to 18-20.
