Philadelphia Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
Philadelphia second baseman Bob G. Murphy had a 5-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Pittsburgh Miners, 10-8. The win went to Joe Potts in relief, making him now 8-5. Hank Cook took the loss for Pittsburgh. The 6th-place Keystones now have a record of 45-47.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Philadelphia. That's when former first overall pick Fred Davis hit a 2-run home run off Hank Cook to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"We kept coming at guys," Philadelphia manager Don Fox said. "We kept digging."
