Howe Lifts Foresters to 13-8 Win
The Cleveland Foresters cut down the Toronto Wolves by the score of 13-8, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder Earl Howe. Howe went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Foresters. The winner was Cleveland reliever Marty Czyzewski, now 1-2. The loser was Arnie Smith. Earning his 1st save for Cleveland was Lynn Horn.

In the top of the sixth, Howe put his team in front with his 7th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came against Arnie Smith, made it 6-5, Cleveland.

"We got the victory," said Howe. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
