Hank Butler led the charge as the Baltimore Clippers defeated the Atlanta Copperheads, 7-6, in 13 innings at Peachtree Stadium. Butler, who leads the FA in hits with 57, was 4 for 6 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Baltimore pitcher George Brown got the win. He's now 1-4. Jay Page was tagged with the loss. The first-place Copperheads dropped to 24-14.

The game was all tied up in the top of the 13th, until Butler delivered big-time for Baltimore, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Jay Page. The game-changing hit put the Clippers on top, 7-6.

"Our team showed some gumption," said Butler. "I like it."
