Miners Get Thrilling 3-2 Win
In a low-scoring clash between Pittsburgh and Detroit, pitcher Clay Buddemeyer was a difference-maker. The left-hander earned praise for his performance in the 3-2 Miners win. The triumph puts Pittsburgh at 48-43 for the season.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Pittsburgh center fielder Roy McGee, facing Howie French, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Miners the 3-2 win.

"Exhilarating win," said McGee.
