What a career and what a ballplayer.
Ed Ziehl truly was one of the best to play the game, and today he was enshrined into the Federally Aligned Baseball Leagues Hall of Fame with 0.0% of writer's ballot votes.

"It is an honor to be mentioned with the greatest players of all time. I want to thank my family, friends and teammates for supporting me throughout this long career," the outstanding second baseman said at the induction ceremony.

In his career, Ziehl played in 3025 games with a .322 lifetime batting average. Among his 3496 hits were 429 doubles, 283 triples and 28 home runs. He also scored 1679 runs and drove in 1366 runs.

Ed Ziehl retired from baseball at the age of 42 in 1929.
