| Foresters Deal Kings 7-2 Defeat | Cleveland and Brooklyn took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
The Cleveland Foresters beat the Brooklyn Kings, 7-2. Cleveland pitcher and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, native Gordie Irwin led the way. Irwin got the win, improving to 5-3. He allowed 1 hit and walked 3 over 6 innings. Irwin allowed no runs.
The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the bottom of the fifth inning, but Irwin was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 1st and 3rd and Brooklyn trailing 2-0, Irwin retired Jake Roberts, who struck out.
After today's action, Cleveland sits at 24-29, while Brooklyn falls to 28-27.
