Falcons Fall Short, 3-2, at Nagasaki | Nagasaki Stars starter Isato Kosaka pitched his team past the Fukuoka Falcons, 3-2. In 7.2 innings, Kosaka surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. Earning his 11th save for Nagasaki was Shiro Sawada.
The Stars benefited from an error in the bottom of the fifth inning. Nagasaki was leading 2-0 when Teruhi Hirai hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Nagasaki in front, 3-0.
