| Bears Upend Owls, 5-2 | Sapporo and Kyoto took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
Getting an impressive start from Kenyu Takemura, Sapporo beat Kyoto by the score of 5-2. Takemura picked up the win for Sapporo, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 9-13.
Teiljo Ishikawa had a nice at-bat for the Bears with two out in the top of the fifth. With the bases loaded, the left fielder hit a 2-run single, which would prove important in the Sapporo win.
"The vibe's good," said Sapporo manager Teruyoshi Endo. "We've got to keep it going."
The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Bears.
