The Washington Eagles got a stellar performance from pitcher Dan Everett, who handcuffed the Philadelphia offense en route to a win, 6-1, at Broad Street Park II. Everett went the distance for Washington. He gave up 1 run on 9 hits. With the win, Washington raised its record to 82-67.

Tom Perkins, the 23-year old shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Perkins contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Washington up, 4-0.
