| Mitchell Helps Chicago Cruise to 11-3 Win | The Chicago Cougars powered past the Toronto Wolves, 11-3, at Cougars Park. Leo Mitchell was 3-4 with 3 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3, to lead the charge. The Wolves fall to 12-16 and continue their sub-.500 start to the 1950 season.
Mitchell came through for the Cougars in the bottom of the second inning. With Chicago leading 3-2, the left fielder hit a sacrifice fly. It made the score 4-2, Chicago.
"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Mitchell told the Chicago Daily News.
