Saints Sneak By Stars, 5-4
Montreal picked up a win at Dyckman Stadium, bumping off the New York Stars, 5-4. Pitcher Wally Reif was a major reason the Saints emerged victorious. The loss puts New York at 14-12.

Montreal used the timely hitting of Joe Austin to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Saints on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"This was a good win," said Reif.
