Montreal beat New York at Dyckman Stadium, escaping with a 7-6 win. The win in large part was due to right fielder Otis O'Keefe. He went 4-5 with 4 singles and a walk. He scored 3 runs. Montreal reliever Lee Richardson picked up the win to move to 5-2. Wally Graves suffered the loss. New York's current losing streak is now 4 games.

This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the tenth, Jess Garman hit a sacrifice fly. The Saints took the lead, 7-6.

"We found a way to get it done," O'Keefe said.
