Despite a great performance by Detroit catcher Adam Mullins, the Pittsburgh Miners defeated the Dynamos by the score of 6-5 at Fitzpatrick Park. Mullins was 4-4 with 4 singles, while adding 3 RBI. Art Brandon, credited with the win, is now 2-1. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits. The Dynamos, now 5-18, continue their slow start.

Jeep Erickson was the walk-off hero for Pittsburgh. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Miners pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
